Under The Angels
BIG MOON BM001

Her career may be in commerciai freefall, but technology (the album is being promoted on her Web site) and reduced economies of scale at least now allow Judie Tzuke to call the shots. The guitar and keyboard axis of Mike Paxman/Paul Muggleton remains a constant, ensuring the whole thing still sounds like her, and between them, they've regained much of the sense of melody that deserted Tzukedom, particulaiiy in the'80s. when she went vainly in search of modemism. The fact that Don't Let Me Sleep (originally from 1982's Shoot The Moon) sits so comfortably alongside new cuts like the excellent Life In A Bottle and Without Love demonstrates that fans who deserted shortly after in disappointrnent can pick up the thread again with confidence.* * *
