JUDIE TZUKE'S place in recorded music history is secure: not only does she have eight British Top 50 albums behind her, but her stunning ballad, Stay With Me Till Dawn, a number 13 hit in the late 1970's, has become one of the great modern standards. Judie's strength lies not in gimmicks, but in songs: cleverly constructed melodies and meaningful lyrics put over in a strikingly powerful and emotive voice. In the early 1980's Judie tored throughout Europe and America to packed houses, even playing to 450,000 people with Elton John in New York's Central Park.
