JUDIE TZUKE
I FIRST fell in love with Judie Tzuke about 30 seconds into 'Stay With ME Till Dawn', her first ever single all those many years ago. Since then I have remained a loyal and devoted follower as Ms Tzuke continued to release some of the most stunningly beautiful music to grace boh airwaves and turntables the length and breadth of the country.
Sadly, after the mind-bogglingly wonderful 'Ritmo' album, Judie fell from Chrysalis Records' good books and found herself out on the streets without a deal or a band. Then the smart folk up at Maison Rouge Studios offered her a deal through Legacy, and with producer Paul Muggleton at her side she stormed back with a super version of the old Motown classic 'Why'.(?)
Now Judie has released a new single, 'I'll Be The One', and in a rare, foolhardy momment agreed to let Kerrang! Kammeraman Ray Palmer into her home to snap the artiste in repose. Palmer gibbered uncontrollably but remained in control of his facilities long enough to snap this.
All I can say is, Judie, it's great to have you back - and when do we get the album?
