Alice

The Life and Crimes of...

THE NEW BOX SET

At long last the Alice Cooper box set, The Life And Crimes Of Alice Cooper, has been released. The box contains 4 CDs and a booklet about Alice, covering the entire span of Alice's career, with album material placed alongside 'never before released' material - a must for all serious Alice fans.

Finally I am able to hear the elusive track - 'Look at you over there, ripping sawdust from my Teddy Bear'. A track which for years has sat, teasingly, amongst the track lists of numerous Special Forces albums - with a name like that - it must be excellent! Well maybe not! ;-)

Remeber Friday the 13th, Part VI, The Man Behind The Mask? On the box set you can hear How it was supposed to sound as well as the film version, both of which differ from the single/album release. It's hard to try to listen without singing 'Trick Bag'. Want to know more - buy the box set!

If you've ever seen the film 'Monster Dog' and wanted those wonderful{?} tracks, 'See Me In The Mirror' and 'Identity Crisis', you'll find them here. Along side the never released track from the Friday the 13th Movie, 'Hard Rock Summer'.

Also on the Box set is Alice's other rare film appearances, including: 'Because' form the Bee Gees Sgt Pepper film; 'Space Pirates' and 'I'm Flash' from the Flash Fearless v's the Zorg Women; 'I got a Line on You' from Iron Eagle II; 'I am the Future' from Class of 1984; tracks from Roadie and Prince of Darkness; NEED I GO ON?

A track that's always been a bit of a favourite for me was the B-side of 'How You Gonna See Me Now', 'No Tricks', it's here too!

Those hard to find tracks from the early days, never released demos, Remixes that never made it, and a full colour book of information! What more can you ask for?

The Box Set is Excellent. It won't please everyone, there will always be 'the track that was missed out', or the 'why didn't they do this' scenario. But for what it is, it is superb, and answers a lot of questions and 'fills the gaps' that have remained vacant for all these years. Do yourself a favour... if you like alice Cooper in anyway what-so-ever, you must buy this box set!
